Nevertheless, our study supports the argument that although Tip60 inhibitors have been developed to treat various cancer cells54, this strategy needs to be adopted with extreme caution since Tip60 depletion could confer cisplatin resistance in both normal and cancerous mammary epithelial cells55, and a low Tip60 level is associated with poorer survival of breast cancer patients (Supplementary Fig. 16b).
