IL6 and cervical carcinoma: Pooled ORs revealed that IL-6 rs1800795 polymorphism was significantly associated with an increased risk of cervical cancer under four genetic models, i.e., allele (C vs. G: OR = 1.294, 95% CI 1.071-1.564, p= 0.007, Figure 2C), homozygote (CC vs. GG: OR = 1.633, 95% CI 1.059-2.520, p= 0.027), dominant (CC+CG vs. GG: OR = 1.312, 95% CI 1.048-1.643, p= 0.018) and recessive (CC vs. CG+GG: OR = 1.592, 95% CI 1.268-1.999, p≤0.001, Figure 2D).
