We previously showed that loss of the Drosophila homolog of CD109, Thioester containing protein 1 (Tep1) in glioma cells (repo-Gal4> UAS-GFP, UAS-PtenRNAi, UAS-RasV12, UAS-Tep1RNAi) substantially reduced Yki levels and activity, and attenuated gliomagenesis in-vivo (Minata et al., 2019). The gene discussed is TEP1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
