These results are supported by many previous studies that H. pylori infection stimulates to host inflammatory response and induces cytokines expression via the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway, which contributes to the progression to gastritis and from intestinal metaplasia to hyperplasia (Sakitani et al., 2012; Tafreshi et al., 2018; Yang et al., 2018).
