HC-AdV vectors have been used for modelling inflammation related to neurodegenerative diseases, by overexpression of a mutated form of leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) in mice [188] and NHPs [175]; and for developing a chronic in vitro model of Huntington ́s disease in primary neuronal cultures [189]. This evidence concerns the gene LRRK2 and neurodegenerative disease.
