Given that loss of LETM1 suppresses ATP production, enhances ROS, and inhibits cell proliferation [221], it is no surprise the overexpression of LETM1 has been found in many cancers, including ovarian, rectal, stomach, esophagus, breast, colon, and lung non-small cell carcinoma [222,223,224]. Here, LETM1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
