Age (every 10 years), albumin, AST (every 30 IU/L), ALT (every 30 IU/L), platelet counts, WFA±M2BP ≥ 1.85 COI (hazard ratio [HR]: 9.43, 95% confidence interval (CI): 3.91–22.7, p < 0.001, Table 2), AFP ≥ 6.0 ng/mL (HR: 8.17, 95%CI: 2.63–18.4, p < 0.001), and presence of LR3/4 nodules (HR: 15.4, 95%CI: 6.06–39.2, p < 0.001) were associated with HCC development in the univariate analysis. Here, AFP is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
