SEPTIN9 and nasopharyngitis: Hypermethylated Septin 9 was determined in 16 of 22 (72.7%) NPC, whereas it was found in 2 of 19 (10.5%) nasopharyngitis, but not in any of the healthy controls (Table 3), showing a significant difference in methylation frequency between NPC and non-NPC (p < 0.01).
