INS and type 1 diabetes mellitus: The PRONTO-T1D study, which evaluated the efficacy and safety of URLi versus lispro in adults with type 1 diabetes, met the primary endpoint of noninferior hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) change from baseline compared to lispro at 26 weeks, when insulins were dosed at mealtime.7 Noninferiority for postmeal URLi (administered 20 min after the start of a meal) versus mealtime lispro was also shown.
