MEG3 and cancer: Increasing studies have provided evidence that lncRNAs (e.g., H19, MEG3, MALAT1, etc.)exert their functions in the context of cancer initiation and progression by influencing epigenetic modifications such as DNA CpG methylation and RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A); however, they have not been observed to influence rRNA 2′-O-methylation [45–47].
