Interestingly, RASSF1A has been combined with three additional candidates (APC, COX2, and miR-203) in a methylation status prediction model (AUC of 0.87) with a sensitivity and specificity of 84.2% and 83%, respectively, in the diagnosis of HBV-related HCC, which is, again, superior to the currently used AFP detection model [118].
