In summary, these results suggest IGFBP-3 as a prognostic biomarker in glioma, mesothelioma, kidney, and colorectal cancers with lower expression suggestive of better survival outcome, whereas diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, cholangiocarcinoma, bladder urothelial carcinoma, uterine carcinosarcoma, breast, and prostate cancer with higher expression suggestive of better survival outcome. This evidence concerns the gene IGFBP3 and bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
