The increased expression genes pathways are related to the Nuclear Pore Complex (NPC), which is the largest protein complex in the cell and also to the HIV life cycle; while the genes whose expression has been decreased are related to the secretin family receptors, that are involved in numerous key neurotransmitter systems in the brain and seem to be disrupted in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) hemostasis, and also in the regulation of the adaptive immune system [46]. The gene discussed is NPC1; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
