Mutations in the contactin-associated protein-like 2 (CNTNAP2) neuronal transmembrane protein that belongs to the neurexin family are associated with different deficits such us cortical dysplasia-focal epilepsy (CFDE), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorders (ASD) [121,122,123]. The gene discussed is CNTNAP2; the disease is autism spectrum disorder.
