To confirm the relevance of miR-200b and p70S6K1 to cisplatin-induced tumor cell apoptosis, rates of apoptotic death were assessed via flow cytometry, revealing that together miR-200b and cisplatin led to markedly elevated apoptosis rates, while additional p70S6K1 overexpression reversed the effect (Figure 5C).
