Disc1 mutation is an associative cause of human neuropsychiatric disorders linked with schizophrenia, bipolar depression, and some cases of autism (Brandon et al., 2009; Wexler and Geschwind, 2011; Zheng et al., 2011; Gómez-Sintes et al., 2014; St Clair and Johnstone, 2018). The gene discussed is DISC1; the disease is autism.
