Recent findings showed that METTL3 expression was higher in CRC tissues than in normal tissues and that this feature indicated poor prognosis; upregulation of METTL3 promoted CRC tumor growth by stabilizing SRY-box 2 (SOX2) [43] and cyclin E1 (CCNE1) mRNA in an m6A-dependent manner [45].
