Through comprehensive mass spectrometry analysis of the nuclear proteins of colorectal cancer cells, we previously identified Traf2-and-Nck-interacting kinase (TNIK) as a component of the T-cell factor-4 (TCF4) and β-catenin transcriptional complex, the most downstream effector of the Wnt signaling pathway [18]. This evidence concerns the gene TNIK and colorectal cancer.
