In discovery analysis, eight additional proteins (TN-R, Beta-NGF, MDGA1, JAM-B, CD200, LXN, PDGF-R-alpha, and LAIR-2) were also positively associated with AD APOE ε4 carriers (β > 0.107, P < 0.05), but they did not survive multiple testing. This evidence concerns the gene LXN and Alzheimer disease.
