Patients with COVID-19 had high amounts of IL-1β, IFN-γ, IP-10, and MCP-1, indicating an activated Th1 response; besides, SARS-CoV-2 could also initiate increased secretion of Th2 cytokines, especially IL-10, which is different from SARS-CoV infection (70).
