It has been reported that CYP26A1, MTRNR2L1, ELOA, and FAM53A were all related with ovarian carcinomas, and CYP26A1 may acts as a meiosis-inhibiting factor and related with the gonadal retinoic acid-degradation (Rodriguez-Mari et al., 2013). This evidence concerns the gene FAM53A and ovarian carcinoma.
