HTR2C and Paralysis: Although the appearance of total paralysis was sufficient to illustrate the marked difference between the results of blockage of 5-HT2A receptor and other receptors that have been implicated in recovery of locomotion after spinal cord injury such as 5-HT2B and 5-HT2C, we investigated rhythmic movements that persisted just prior to total paralysis and compared to the locomotor EMG pattern induced by the other drug administration that did not result in total paralysis.
