P2RY12 and myocardial infarction: Of particular note, there were no trends of increased risk of myocardial infarction or stent thrombosis with 1- and 3-month DAPT followed by a longer duration of a P2Y12 inhibitor as compared with 12-month DAPT in the analysis provided by Khan et al. The results suggested the shorter duration of 1- or 3-month DAPT followed by a P2Y12 inhibitor to be the best antiplatelet therapy in patients after PCI.
