In multivariate analysis, the independent risk factors for developing AF were age (OR 1.05 (1.03–1.07); p < 0.001), HR (OR 1.04 (1.02–1.05); p < 0.001) and log NT-proBNP (OR: 1.48(1.10–1.99, p = 0.010)) with a good predictive performance. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and atrial fibrillation.
