IFNL3 and Hepatitis: Regarding laboratory blood results, heterozygous T/C genotype of IL28B rs12979860 polymorphism was associated with increased risk of thrombocytopenia (OR = 2.55; 95% CI, 1.03–6.32; p = 0.042) (Table 7), while infants carrying heterozygous T/C genotype at TLR4 rs4986791 had significantly increased risk of hepatitis (OR = 7.80; 95%CI, 1.49–40.81; p = 0.024) (Table 8).
