Oral treatment of age-related hepatic steatosis either with BDS (450 mg/kg), PDS (30 mg/kg), CDS (30 mg/kg) or ZH (250 μg/kg) regulated the serum levels of adiponectin, Apo B100, and insulin, whereas adiponectin levels were elevated by about 2.6, 2.3, 2.4, and 3.1 folds, respectively. The gene discussed is APOB; the disease is fatty liver disease.
