Most chromosomal deletions in prostate cancer are linked either to cancers harboring ERG fusions (3p, 8p, PTEN, 12q, 16q, 17p) [21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 49] or to the ERG-negative subset (5q, 6q, 13q, 18q) [6, 20, 23, 26]. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and cancer.
