Emerging studies in cancers have demonstrated the role of oncogenic fusions, such as EML4-ALK in non-small-cell lung cancer [5], BCR-ABL1 fusion in chronic myeloid leukemia [6,7], PML-RARA in acute promyelocytic leukemia [8] and FGFR3-TACC3 in GBM [9] in tumor growth and progression. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR3 and neoplasm.
