MX2 and malaria: The practical utility of the MX2/GPR183 signature for assessing immune responses in future malaria vaccine and CHMI studies is reinforced by the ability to measure it using various platforms, given that it was discovered through integrated analysis of cohorts employing three different transcript profiling platforms and two sample types (PBMCs and whole blood), and that the overall veracity of the RNA-Seq measurements used for discovery of the signature was confirmed by qRT-PCR (Supplementary Figure 1).
