Erufosine inhibits the aberrant PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in various cancer types including leukemia, oral squamous cell carcinoma, glioma and prostate cancer (Erdlenbruch et al., 1998; Rudner et al., 2010; Kapoor et al., 2012; Awde et al., 2013; Kapoor et al., 2014; Ansari et al., 2017; Avsar Abdik et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and central nervous system cancer.
