CCND1 and malignant colon neoplasm: In 2018, researchers found that pristimerin (0.0001~0.0005 wt% in diet for 10 weeks) isolated from Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F could inhibit cell proliferation and enhance apoptosis through regulating the cell cycle progression of colon cancer cells, because it was active in modulating targets like cyclin D1, CDC25A, p27, p21, caspase-3/7/8/9, and cleaved-PARP (Park et al., 2018).
