To determine which signaling pathways may be involved in the induction of chemokine secretion, decidualized T-HESC cells were treated with SB203580 (p38 MAPK inhibitor), SP600125 (Jnk1/2 inhibitor), BAY 11-7082 (NF-κB inhibitor), or vehicle (dimethyl sulfoxide, DMSO) before and during the infection with B. abortus, and IL-8 and MCP-1 were measured as above. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is infection.
