SELE and breast cancer: Previous GWAS found significant association of rs17041333 (1.9 kb from our ITPR1 SNP) with urine levels of 3-hydroxypropyl mercapturic acid, a metabolite of toxicants in tobacco smoke [46]; association of rs6762644 (52.5 kb from our lead SNP) with breast cancer [47]; and suggestive association of our lead SNP with E-Selectin levels [48].
