Mutations of FLT-3 are frequently found in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [79], which cause constitutive activation of FLT-3 and induce activation of multiple downstream signaling pathways, including signal transducers of activation and transcription (STATs), RAS, mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), and phosphatidyl inositol-3 kinase (PI3K)/AKT pathways. This evidence concerns the gene WNK2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
