AKT3 and cancer: Anti-tumor immune response were also markedly enhanced due to heat stress, genes involved in proteoglycans in cancer, choline metabolism in cancer, pathways in cancer were up-regulated in both male and female groups, while apoptotic genes were only triggered in the female group; these included genes PIK3CA, BCL2L1, AKT3 and ATM. Several studies have shown that heat stress triggers anti-tumor and apoptotic pathways possibly due to protein aggregation due to heat stress induced denaturation [16].
