Consistent with previous observations in HCC cells [33], macroH2A1 silencing resulted in a significant increase of acetyl-CoA (Figure 4B) and NADP+ (Figure 4C) content accompanied by a significant decrease of NADPH (Figure 4D), thus suggesting a switch to reductive biosynthesis and to lipid synthesis in KD cells. This evidence concerns the gene MACROH2A1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
