It is also evident that in the ‘screening’ setting such markers as CRP, TIMP1, M2-PK, MMP9 and PADI4 demonstrated relatively high AUC values (between 0.829 and 0.885), whereas AUC values over 0.700 for CRC ‘triage’ were observed only for CRP, TIMP1 and M2-PK (Fig. 4). The gene discussed is TIMP1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
