It turned out that blocking RAA may affect: (1) formation of angiotensin II, (2) inflammatory properties (by influencing CRP), (3) initiation of blood coagulation, (4) generation of bradykinin, (5) activation of lymphocytes in hypertension, (6) participation of TNF alpha in the activation of the acute phase response, (7) activation of NADPH oxidase—a key enzyme of oxidative stress. This evidence concerns the gene AGT and hypertensive disorder.
