Further investigation of the mechanism of action of ONC201 revealed that it acts through dual inhibition of AKT and ERK, [59], inhibition of NFκB and STAT3 [60] as well as inhibition of PI3K/AKT/mTOR [61] in a multitude of solid and hematologic malignancies, including ovarian cancer.
