Older age; higher percentages of diabetes mellitus (DM) and cirrhosis; lower serum albumin, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), hepatitis B virus (HBV) deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and platelet counts; and higher international normalised ratios (INRs), alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), and AFP 12M levels were observed in the patients with HCC (Table 1).
