As shown in Table 3, we observed that FTO rs1121980 and KCNQ1 rs163182 were significantly associated with a decreased risk of GDM in the dominant and additive model (dominant model: adjusted OR = 0.78, 95%CI = 0.64–0.94, P = 0.011 for rs1121980; adjusted OR = 0.79, 95%CI = 0.65–0.94, P = 0.010 for rs163182; additive model: adjusted OR = 0.79, 95%CI = 0.67–0.94, P = 0.007 for rs1121980; adjusted OR = 0.84, 95%CI = 0.73–0.96, P = 0.009 for rs163182), but not in the recessive model. The gene discussed is KCNQ1; the disease is gestational diabetes.
