Diuretic and natriuretic responses to GLP-1 were blunted in HF rats (urine flow at 20 min 53.4 ± 4.3 vs. 78.6 ± 4.4 μl/min/gkw, sodium excretion at 20 min 7.4 ± 0.8 vs. 10.9 ± 1.0 μEq/min/gkw, P < 0.01, n = 10, Fig. 4a, b). The gene discussed is GLP1R; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
