In the COAPT trial, both NT-proBNP and BNP levels were significantly higher than in MITRA-FR (median NT-proBNP > 5100 vs. 3200 pg/mL and median BNP >1000 vs. >760 pg/mL, respectively), and it may be argued that they were more related to MR severity than to either LVEF or LV diameter [44,45]. This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and miotic rate.
