In our study, we also observed that PIK3R3 protein and mRNA expressions were frequently at high expression in tumor tissue when compared with its paired non-tumor tissues, which agreed with previous studies in ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer and glioma malignancy [31–36]. This evidence concerns the gene PIK3R3 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
