Increased levels of VEGF have been observed in a variety of hematologic malignancies, such as multiple myeloma (MM), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [14–17]. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
