Among studies on ENAM polymorphisms included in this meta-analysis, one study on Saudi patients [25] reported an elevated risk of ENAM rs1264848 polymorphism and another study on Polish children [14] showed the protective role of ENAM rs1264848 polymorphism in dental caries, which was confirmed by Abbasoğlu et al., in their study on Turkish children [33].
