Recently, two RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) based transcriptomic analyses demonstrated that CDYL2 is upregulated in CD133-positive colorectal cancer stem cells compared to CD133-negative counterparts 28, and that the exposure of rat serotonergic cells to valproic acid and lithium, two commonly used mood stabilizer drugs, results in downregulation of CDYL2 29. Here, PROM1 is linked to colorectal cancer.
