In the overall cohort of patients with IBD, we observed that IL-8 reduction > 2.6 pg/mL from T0 to T1 was able to discriminate between patients who responded to therapy at T2 from those who did not (AUC = 0.70, sensitivity = 66%, specificity = 75%, p = 0.010). The gene discussed is CXCL8; the disease is inflammatory bowel disease.
