Similarly, Velard et al. found that the percentage of double positive monocytes, RANK+ and M-CSFR+, was strongly increased (~ 91%) in CF patients bearing at least one G551D copy when compared with HC [174]; interestingly, this increased percentage in RANK+ and M-CSFR+ monocytes, was significantly decreased after 9 and 12 months of treatment with Ivacaftor [174].
