These results are in agreement with a previous study in gastric and breast cancer cell lines [8, 12], showing that silencing FAT4 expression increased invasion and migration of MDA-MB-436 and BT-549 breast cancer cell lines [8], and promoted cell viability, colony-forming ability of BGC-823 and HGC-27 gastric cancer cells [12]. The gene discussed is FAT4; the disease is breast carcinoma.
